The Sanday Fairies aka Elizabeth Downie and Joanne Walker have been celebrating their massive accomplishment of walking a total of 100 miles each on the Island of Sanday!
They have been raising funds for MacMillan Cancer Orkney and Soma’s Light!
The Fairies had been fundraising with Lucky Squares and a Coffee Morning on Sunday the 1st March in the Community Room. This is where they picked out the winning name for the Sanday Hamper prize.

“We will be giving £500 to Somas Light, £300 to MacMillan Cancer Orkney and because we have done so well, we will include a Sanday group and give £50 to Sanday Gospel Choir to help fund their music.”
We are delighted that our charity has such big supporters from Sanday! We would like to thank them for their amazing efforts and hope they get a well deserved rest.
